Robert Pattinson has been named as the highest earning
British star of 2010.
Following the huge success of the TwilightSaga,
R-Pattz reportedly banked a cool £18.3million last year,
making him one of the top earners in Hollywood after landing
15th place on Vanity Fair's annual top performers list.
The 24-year old managed to beat the likes of Tom Cruise,
Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Aniston for the first time,
with the magazine citing his role as vampire Edward Cullen
in the Twilight flicks as the greatest source of his earnings.
Rob is said to have made £8.3million for each of the vampire films,
as well as getting £1million for his latest role in Water For Elephants
and £600,000 for new movie, Bel Ami.
Despite Pattinson's place on the list, it wasn't enough to beat
his Twilight co-star's Kristen Stewartand Taylor Lautner.
His rumoured girlfriend K-Stew appeared in the chart after
allegedly earning £19million, while Lautner - who plays werewolf
Jacob Black in Twilight - beat both R-Pattz and Kristen, after
grossing a whopping £22.5million in 2010.
Vanity Fair's contributing editor Peter Newcomb said of
Taylor's success in the list: "Lautner is perhaps the highest paid
teenage star right now."
"When [the Twilight stars] first negotiated their contracts, they
were getting paid a lot less. Then, with the immense success of
the film, the agents went back and renegotiated the deal."
He added: "Lautner’s deal in particular was really bumped up."
Despite their high earnings, R-Pattz and co are a long way off
Avatar director James Cameron, who topped the list after
making £159million in 2010.
Johnny Depp was named as the highest paid actor with £61.8million,
after receiving £24.7 million for playing the Mad Hatter in Alice In Wonderland.
