Kristen on evil and getting beat up: "When good overtakes evil, it just feels f---ing good."
"Rupert beat me up," Stewart jokes. "He definitely threw me off cliffs and made me trudge through frigid, icy waters. It looks cool, though. I can actually see the pain and discomfort and fear on my face. It's awesome."
Ruper Sanders on Kristen's bravery: Sanders definitely appreciated Stewart's perserverance. "What's great about Kristen is that it's one thing to be like, 'I'll jump off the building.' It's another thing to be s--- scared about jumping and then go ahead and do it," says the director. "She didn't want to ride horses, and ultimately, she rode in front of 200 horses galloping at full speed across the beach in front of an army. She's very brave."

One of Stewart’s most intricate costumes is her armor, which Atwood said they wanted to tell a story on its own. “There are a lot of messages in her armor. The concept is [Snow White] comes to a place in the story and decides to go to battle and lead her future people,” Atwood said. “She doesn’t have time to have armor made, so we took elements of different armor to compile a look and so [Stewart] could also do action in it.”

Lily Collins Talks About Her Friendship with Kristen
Have you talked to Kristen Stewart about her Snow White, and is there any competition between you two?
It's funny, we've actually laughed about the fact that we're apparently rivals -- because we're so not.
So you're friends?
Yeah. She's so cool, and I'm very excited for the other film. It could not be more different. They're polar opposites. I think the advertising campaigns prove to everyone how different they are: everything from the tone to the rating to the costumes; everything. She and I, we're very, very different characters and we just have laughed about it. I'm happy for her, she's happy for me. I think there's definitely room for both.

Universal Pictures and HSN, formerly known as the Home Shopping Network, are planning 24 hours of programming at the end of May featuring beauty, home and fashion products created specifically to evoke the sensibility of the coming movie “Snow White and the Huntsman.”

Rupert Sanders Talks About Kristen
People were very skeptical when Kristen Stewart was initially cast in this film. But now seeing the trailer and all the footage, you really get why she’s perfect casting.
Rupert Sanders: “Yeah, I think we were looking for someone who was obviously a great actor first and foremost but also someone who’s incredibly physical. Everyone thinks she is Bella from Twilight. I think she’s such a good actor that she encompassed that role so well that people think that’s how she is. When you meet Kristen, she’s so far away from that character. I’d first seen her in ‘Into the Wild’ and I was really blown away. I remembered that she was the girl from ‘Panic Room,’ ‘Welcome to the Rileys,’ ‘The Runaways,’ and now ‘On the Road.’ She’s one those actors who does these smaller films and then she does these big movies and she’s really managed her career so well in that way. She’s incredibly spirited and very kind of wild and also she’s got this kind of this alchemy to her. You’re not quite sure what it is about her but on screen she’s just incredible. And when you see her act you realize why she is such a huge movie star and why she’s going to continue to get bigger.”

ETA: Rupert Sanders Praises Kristen in New LA Times Interview
RS: She’s quite stunning. She’s really good. First thing I saw her in was probably “Panic Room,” and then I saw her in “The Runaways” and “Into the Wild.” She’s an incredibly talented actor. I think a lot of people think that she’s Bella Swan because she played that part so well, and she really epitomized that character from the books. She was really strict with herself that she’d wear brown contacts, which is hard to act with those things in, because so much is coming from the eyes, but that’s what Bella Swan had. She’s very serious about what she does, and she’s incredibly gifted, and she’s incredibly intuitive, and she’ll just try different things. It was great to work with her. She’s a very one-of-a-kind actor.
